Diagnosis and treatment
- Metabolism syndrome screening by body mass index calculation and body composition analysis. InBody test analyzes body composition, including body water, body fat, minerals, and muscle to assess health condition and diagnose diseases.
Body Mass Index (BMI) reflects the relationship between weight and height. At one point, the height cannot increase, but the weight may increase unlimitedly. Excessive weight gain affects your health. It causes high risk of diabetes, dyslipidemia and coronary artery disease. High BMI means excessive body fat which leads to high risk of diabetes, dyslipidemia and coronary artery disease.
- Health check for diabetes patients and risk groups: Internists specialized in diabetes and endocrine disease give advice and consultation on risk factors, monitor the treatment, regularly assess diabetes control to prevent complications, and assess other diabetes-related abnormalities.
- Foot examination: Specially-trained medical personnel look for chronic wounds, assess wound risks, and give advice on shoe selection to limit risk of wound. They provide consultation on wounds from nail cutting to improper callouses removal.
- Ankle brachial pressure index: The index reflects the risk of blocked arteries due to peripheral artery disease (PAD).
- Eye and retina check: Diabetes patients can get eye and retina check with Fundus Camera which gives 200 degree images in only 2 minutes. The ophthalmologist does not need to widen (dilate) the pupils to check the retina and eye condition. The test can detect early diabetic abnormalities for early treatment.
- Kidney function test: Urine is tested to detect microalbumin and waste from kidneys accumulated in the blood.
- Heart function check-up: The risk of heart disease is assessed based on electrocardiogram (EKG) and stress test results, as they measure the heartbeat and reflect how well the heart functions.
- Treatment of diabetic foot resulting from ulcer peripheral artery disease (PAD): We offer both non-surgical and surgical treatment (Balloon angioplasty and endovascular stenting surgeries).
- Peripheral artery bypass redirects the blood supply to a blocked artery in the foot, so that the patient does not lose his/her toe or foot due to peripheral artery disease (PAD).
- Balloon angioplasty or stent endovascular surgery
- Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) assesses the risk of peripheral artery disease (PAD).

Endocrine Gland Clinic
Endocrine and Metabolic Disorders: Endocrine diseases are diseases occurring to glands in the endocrine system through the body. Endocrine glands produce hormones to regulate the body’s function, for example the conversion of calories to energy, control of heartbeat, growth of tissue and bone, and fertility. Endocrine disorders result from unbalanced hormones or some diseases which leads to many other diseases, such as diabetes, thyroid, osteoporosis, obesity, etc.
